Community Infrastructure Projects Planner
Position overview
East Gippsland Shire Council is currently seeking to hire a full-time, ongoing Community Infrastructure Projects Planner to lead the planning and development of key recreation and community infrastructure projects across East Gippsland. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven recreation or infrastructure planner to positively shape our community through the development of a range of facilities and plans that will shape our communities into the future.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Recreation / Community Infrastructure Planning and / or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant field.
- High level community engagement experience, in particular in relation to the development and planning of infrastructure projects.
- Capacity to work autonomously in challenging community-based environments.
- A sound understanding of asset management principles as they relate to community infrastructure, and the ability to apply these to the planning of infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a legislative and Policy environment, in particular in relation to public land management.
- Demonstrated IT skills and an ability to use a range of packages and systems.
- A current, valid Victorian driver’s license.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a current Police Check and psychometric testing, and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Applicants for this position must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
