The Opportunity
As a Maintenance Officer, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep and minor upgrades of Council assets across East Gippsland. Your tasks will include maintaining footpaths, kerbs, signage, and recreational facilities, ensuring they remain safe and accessible for the community. The role requires practical skills in concreting, basic repairs, and operating equipment such as excavators and bobcats, along with a solid understanding of asset maintenance across parks, reserves, and public spaces. Experience with traffic signage regulations and the ability to work across varied outdoor locations with minimal supervision are key to success in this role.

This is a casual position, hours will vary and is based from Kalimna West, with travel required across the region.
