ICT Surveillance and Security Projects Officer

The Opportunity

As the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Surveillance & Security Projects Officer, you will be responsible for CCTV operations, surveillance systems, physical access control, and activity management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support Council’s CCTV, surveillance and access systems
  • Ensure compliance with security legislation, policies and standards
  • Manage vendor maintenance, licensing and service arrangements
  • Support joint ICT projects across Councils and partner agencies
  • Contribute to audits, reporting, and risk/security assessments

This is a full-time, limited tenure position for up to 2 years working in Bairnsdale.

 

Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)

  • Experience in the operation of CCTV, surveillance and security systems (2+yrs).
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Tertiary qualified with relevant experience and/or post-graduate qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline is highly desirable.
  • CCTV, surveillance and security industry specialist training or experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven skills in policy, procedural, process and specification development.

If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
