The Opportunity
Do you want to be part of the team responsible for looking after Gippsland’s natural environment? As an Environmental Support Officer, you will undertake natural environment management activities including re-vegetation, erosion control and biodiversity enhancement / beautification works.
You’ll conduct pest plant, pest animal and mosquito management activities including identification, mapping, monitoring, treatment and maintaining equipment and supplies.
You’ll also keep excellent records of inspection, monitoring and control, with training provided on how to complete these tasks.
This is an active, outdoor-based role that keeps you on your feet, so it's important that you're physically capable of performing the inherent requirements of the position
This is a permanent full-time position based from our Bruce Road depot in Kalimna West, with the expectation that you will travel across the shire to perform your duties. There may be times when an overnight stay is required when works are being performed in remote areas.
