Aquatic Operations Supervisor

East Gippsland Shire Council manages 2 recreation centres, 2 outdoor pools and a splash park, providing our residents with safe and enjoyable places for exercise and play.

The Opportunity: As the Aquatics Operations Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations across our aquatic facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer experiences. You'll lead a team of lifeguards, duty managers, and team leaders while implementing best-practice operational and maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing aquatic operations team.
  • Ensure facilities meet legislative, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Manage aquatic assets, equipment, and service agreements.
  • Oversee rosters, training, and operational budgets.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Bairnsdale, with regular travel across the region.

What we’re looking for (Key Selection Criteria)

Required Qualifications:

  • Industry recognised qualification in pool operations and chemical handling.
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
  • Provide First Aid Certificate.

If successful, you will need to undertake a police check, pre-employment medical and psychometric testing and hold an employee WWCC. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
