Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre: Known to locals as the BARC, offers indoor basketball courts, a 25m lap pool, spa, sauna, health club and group fitness classes. In 2019, the BARC underwent a redevelopment of the pool, cafe and customer service areas to offer a modern and accessible facility for the region.
W.O.R.L.D Sporting Precinct: With construction completed in 2024 the W.O.R.L.D sporting precinct offers international standard synthetic and turf hockey pitches, netball courts and clubrooms. Future developments of the precinct will include new rectangular pitches designed for local sport such as soccer.

The Opportunity: As a Sport Facilities Leader, you’ll oversee sports programming, facility bookings, and community engagement across our state-of-the-art venues, including the BARC indoor stadium and W.O.R.L.D. Sports Precinct. From managing maintenance schedules to supporting partnerships with local clubs, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating vibrant and inclusive recreation experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Based in Bairnsdale, with regular travel across the region, this is a full-time, ongoing position.
What we’re looking for (Key Selection Criteria)
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check, pre-employment medical and hold an employee WWCC. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
