Project Facilitator - Bushfire Recovery (Infrastructure)

The Opportunity

As the Project Facilitator – Bushfire Recovery, you’ll support bushfire recovery infrastructure projects and community facility upgrades. Your role will be crucial in building community resilience, ensuring emergency preparedness, and meeting key project deliverables.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Research and Analysis: Provide valuable insights for priority projects by interpreting policies and preparing project briefs.
  • Facilitation: Help build community connections and share knowledge to strengthen resilience and recovery efforts.
  • Project Support: Monitor and report on project milestones to ensure everything stays on track, on time and on budget.

 

This is a full-time limited tenure role until 30 June 2025 and is based at the Bruce Road, Kalimna West Depot.

 

Key Skills You’ll Bring (Key Selection Criteria)

  • Demonstrated collaborative project management experience, including both technical and behavioural skills of planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and assessment, contract management, communication, leadership, motivation and networking.
  • Experience in implementing innovative and evidence-based projects within communities.
  • Experience in applying high level Interpersonal and communications skills to engage effectively with members of the community and other stakeholders in a meaningful way to understand their complex and diverse needs.
  • A well-developed understanding of Community Development principles and models, including place and strength- based approaches and asset-based community development.
  • An ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A current, valid Victorian driver’s licence.

 

If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
