Mallacoota is a small, tranquil location in the far east area of Victoria and has a population of approximately 1500 residents, which is known to quadruple during the Christmas period. The popular tourist destination offers many things to enjoy, and is a popular spot to boat, snorkel and explore the Croajingalong National Park! 

The Mallacoota Foreshore Holiday Park is set over 70 acres making it one of the largest parks in the Southern Hemisphere. The park provides an authentic camping experience with over 700 sites along the foreshore and a range of amenities from picnic areas, walking trails, boat ramps, barbecue facilities and camp kitchens, playgrounds and much more.

The Opportunity

As the Mallacoota Foreshore Holiday Park Supervisor, your main purpose will be to provide on-site management of the Holiday Park. 

You’ll take on:

  • Ensuring an above AAAT-3.5-Star Rating of the Park through maintaining cleanliness, repairs, high quality park conditions, exceptional customer service and providing a relaxing holiday environment
  • Benchmarking and competition analysis of market pricing
  • Efficient staff rostering, team building, training, supervision and toolbox meetings
  • Budget management, financial reporting and capital expenditure
  • Strategic advertising and marketing including newsletters, brochures and interaction programs
  • Ensuring ongoing maintenance and servicing of the Park’s assets and infrastructure 
  • Park inspections and auditing

This is a permanent, full time role based at the Mallacoota Foreshore Holiday Park. You will be required to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, public holidays and join an on-call roster.  This is not a live onsite position therefore accommodation is not provided within the annualised salary package.

Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)

  • Demonstrated high level experience, knowledge and ability in the overall management of a medium to large caravan park/hospitality or similar accommodation or tourism business 
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills 
  • Excellent communication skills with a personality that fosters positive interaction with service users, public and other Council staff, with a commitment to high standards of customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and ability to effectively manage the health and safety risks associated with a commercial caravan park operation.
  • Leadership, interpersonal and human resource management skills. 
  • Financial management skills.
  • Computer skills in Newbook (or similar accommodation booking systems) and Microsoft Office applications.

If successful, you will need to undertake a police check, pre-employment medical check and hold a current and valid Working With Children Check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
