Forge Theatre Technician
Position overview
This is a casual position, based in Bairnsdale.
The purpose of the role is to provide high quality technical services at the Forge Theatre and other East Gippsland venues.
What you will need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge in the rigging and operation of sound/lighting/video/mechanical systems or the ability to learn.
- The ability to set up and manually handle equipment, including working at heights, in confined spaces and with restricted lighting.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, to tight schedules and use initiative.
- Ability to work as a team and take direction in a theatre environment.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve technical issues, use programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Office.
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Forge Theatre users and the Forge Theatre team.
- Current, valid Australian Driver’s Licence, and Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a current Working with Children Check. Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in Australia.
